Along with the new additions of the OmniBook X Flip 16 AI, OmniBook X Flip 14 AI, and OmniBook X Flip 17.3 AI models, HP has also announced the OmniBook X Flip 16 non-AI. The company’s new productivity-focused laptop retains most of the specs of the OmniBook X Flip 16 AI variant, albeit with a few tweaks.
The HP OmniBook X Flip 16 2-in-1 convertible laptop features the AMD Ryzen 5 220 processor paired with an AMD Radeon 740M iGPU, 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and 1 TB PCIe Gen 4 NVMe M.2 SSD. Like other OmniBook X Flip series models, HP has opted for an OLED screen with the OmniBook X Flip 16 2-in-1 laptop, featuring a 16-inch 2K (1920 x 1200) OLED panel with a peak brightness of 400 nits [this is most likely a reference to SDR brightness].
Dimensionally, the laptop measures 14 x 9.67 x 0.61 inches (355.6 x 245.6 x 15.4 mm) and weighs 1.8 kg (4.18 lbs), making it portable enough for the category. Furthermore, HP offers plenty of connectivity options, including 2 x USB-C, 2 x USB-A, 1 x HDMI 2.1, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. HP’s new convertible machine also supports multi-touch functionality and stylus input.
The portable machine houses a 68 Wh battery that supports 65 W fast charging via USB Type-C. The rest of the highlights include WiFi 6E, dual speakers with DTS X Ultra audio, a 5 MP IR webcam with temporal noise reduction (TNR), and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity.
Unfortunately, HP has not revealed how much the HP OmniBook X Flip 16 2-in-1 convertible laptop will cost. Much like other OmniBook X Flip series models, it is unclear when the AMD Ryzen 5-powered OmniBook X Flip 16 2-in-1 convertible laptop will become purchasable.
