Nvidia has confirmed that the RTX 50-series powered laptops will be available for pre-orders starting from February 25. The latest and greatest GPUs for desktops were announced early in January 2025 with availability starting end of the month and leading into February for some of the models, and it was only a matter of time when information about their mobile counterparts would be shared. These graphics cards are expected to bring significant performance improvements over the previous generation.
The announcement comes via X where the official Nvidia GeForce account shared that the pre-orders from OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturer) will start from February 25. Other than that, no more information was shared. So, for now, there is no exact date for when they will reach the public. The Nvidia website mentions that the RTX 50-series laptops will be available starting March but again, there is no exact date yet.
Touted as “Game Changers”, these new laptops will harness the power of the Blackwell GPUs, of which only four have been revealed so far. These include the RTX 5090, RTX 5080, RTX 5070 Ti, and the RTX 5070. For desktops, the pricing seems to be quite reasonable, at least for the now entry-level Founders Edition GPUs, starting at $549 for the RTX 5070. The RTX 5070 Ti is priced at $749 while the RTX 5080 sits at $999. The king of GPUs, RTX 5090, is priced at $1999.
While the RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 went on sale on January 30, the RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5070 are yet to reach customers. The 5070 Ti, however, is expected to go on sale starting February 20 according to a few sources, with the latest being a seemingly accidental reveal by MSI’s French store. The official website of the store showed a countdown timer for 10 days (spotted by Wccftech) for the availability of the RTX 5070 Ti. The page is since been taken down.
