Garmin Venu 2 and Venu 2S smartwatches receive Beta 15.04 update for gamers
Garmin has released Pre-Rollout Beta 15.04 for the Venu 2 and Venu 2S smartwatches. The new software includes just one update, adding a Gaming activity to the wearable. You can use this esports profile to monitor your body’s performance as you game.
So far, only one Venu 2 smartwatch owner has reported a bug, causing their wearable to freeze after downloading update 15.04; the Garmin team has yet to respond to this user feedback. The update can only be delivered over the air with a traditional rollout, allowing you to manually load the software, scheduled for a later date. Owners of eligible smartwatches can now download Beta 15.04 by going to the Main menu > Settings > System > Software Update.
This update marks the start of the next Beta cycle for this wearable; the last Beta cycle named v13.xx concluded in May with update 13.12. This software brought features like the ability to review CIQ apps, ANT+ improvements and a bug for a problem with Hydration notifications to the gadgets. If you own a Garmin Venu 2 or Venu 2S smartwatch and wish to join the Beta program, you can do so via Garmin Connect.
