Garmin has released the beta version 20.10 update for the Fenix 7 and related smartwatches. Compatible models include Fenix 7 Pro Sapphire Solar (curr. $591.39 at Amazon), Epix, Epix Pro, Enduro 2, Quatix 7 and Marq Gen 2.
This is the first update in the 20.xx beta cycle, following the stable update version 19.41, which was released in December. This beta update brings support for the new Connect IQ System 8, with access to the latest apps, watch faces and data faces. Another new feature is connection type information when users pair a sensor. The beta version 20.10 release notes state that the smart notification widget has been improved with the ability to scroll through longer messages. The rest screen for Swim activities is said to have been enhanced. Plus, runners may be pleased to hear that the Track database has been updated.
On top of this, there are bug fixes for Elevation Alert Tones, image drawings on Outdoor Map Plus and the Coach widget. The full change log can be found below.
