GameSir's new Tarantula controllers land on Amazon

Back in April, GameSir released three new models in its Tarantula line of controllers. Now two of them — Tarantula 8K PC and Tarantula Pro for Xbox — have received a wider release, including availability on Amazon. The third, which is the Tarantula Ultra 8K PC, is yet to be available for purchase.

The Tarantula 8K PC is a wired controller for PCs only with an 8,000Hz polling rate. It features Game-Sir's Gen 2 Mag-Res TMR Sticks albeit in a symmetrical layout like that of the PlayStation DualSense controller.

It also has dual-mode triggers, micro switch ABXY buttons, a tactile switch D-pad, and 9 customizable buttons that include two back buttons. GameSir also added macro support, adjustable turbo function, a six-axis gyroscope, an audio jack, and customizable RGB lighting.

Priced at $69.99, the Tarantula 8K PC is available to buy now from GameSir and Amazon for $69.99 in bright orange only. However, GameSir released a special edition that is green, but it is currently only available to pre-order on GameSir's website for the same price as above, with shipping expected to begin this month.

On the other hand, the Tarantula Pro for Xbox, is a wired controller for Xbox consoles (Xbox Series One, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X), but it also has support for Windows and Steam. It uses Mag-Res TMR sticks, has a mechanical D-pad, and is equipped with micro-switch ABXY buttons. However, it only has a 1000Hz polling rate which is limited to PC connectivity.

The controller also features dual trigger modes, two customizable back buttons alongside seven others, an audio jack, a six-axis gyroscope (works with PC only), and RGB lighting. It doesn't have macro support and lacks turbo function, both of which are available on the Tarantula 8K PC. However, the Tarantula Pro for Xbox has four vibration motors (two in the grips and two in the triggers) unlike the Tarantula 8K PC.

GameSir has also put a price tag of $69.99 on the Tarantula Pro for Xbox controller, and it is available to buy on Amazon and on the manufacturer's website in white, only.
