Samsung has finally released the Galaxy F55 5G in India, having postponed the device's full introduction earlier this month. As expected, the Galaxy F54 successor features a Super AMOLED+ display spanning 6.7-inches across with a 1080p resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the large display boasts 1,000 nits peak brightness (HBM), which matches the recent Galaxy A55 (curr. $361.59 on Amazon).
Moreover, Samsung equips the Galaxy F55 5G with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, a Qualcomm chipset that the company complements with 8 GB and 12 GB of RAM options. On top of that, Samsung includes a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 45 W charging, all within a body that measures 163.9 x 76.5 x 7.8 mm and weighs 180 g overall. Separately, the Galaxy F55 5G comes with a 50 MP primary camera capable of recording videos in up to 4K at 30 FPS. For reference, this camera also has an f/1.8 aperture, 1.0 µm wide pixels and is supported by optical image stabilisation (OIS).
Furthermore, Samsung has installed 8 MP ultra-wide-angle, 2 MP macro, and 50 MP selfie cameras, the latter of which also supports 4K/30 FPS video recordings. The Galaxy F55 5G starts at INR 26,999 (~$325) for its entry-level option with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Alternatively, Samsung offers the handset with up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage for INR 32,999 (~$397). Please note that all models support microSD card expansion and will receive updates until Android 18 with security updates until 2029, just like the recent Galaxy M35 5G.
