Samsung Galaxy F54 5G now official with 6,000 mAh battery and five years of updates
Samsung has now officially launched the Galaxy F54 5G, an Exynos 1380-powered handset with a less rounded design than other recent mid-range smartphones. Nonetheless, the Galaxy F54 5G has a familiar Super AMOLED display that measures 6.7-inches across and resolves at 1080p with a 120 Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the display features a 32 MP front-facing camera that sits behind a centred hole punch.
Moreover, Samsung has installed a 108 MP primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture, an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera (f/2.2) and a 2 MP auxiliary sensor. According to Samsung, the Galaxy F54 5G is capable of recording videos in up to 4K/30 FPS or 720p/240 FPS for slow-motion effects. For reference, Samsung complements the Exynos 1380 chipset with a 6,000 mAh battery that contributes to its 199 g weight.
While the Galaxy F54 5G has a 20% larger battery than the Galaxy A54 5G or even the Galaxy S23 Ultra, Samsung has saddled it with just 25 W wired charging. The Galaxy F54 5G is available in India for INR 27,999 (~US$339) with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of expandable storage, but will eventually rise to INR 29,999 (~US$364) after its pre-order period. Samsung offers the handset in Meteor Blue and Stardust Silver at launch; both colour options will receive four Android OS updates and five years of security updates.
