The original NucBox launched late last year and it was boasted as being one of the smallest mini PCs available capable of 4K UHD video playback. Unlike many other mini PCs of its size, the NucBox would integrate a fan to squeeze out more performance from its Celeron processor.

The NucBox 2 would follow roughly 6 months later with more powerful internal hardware and additional ports. However, the size of the unit has increased dramatically to be closer to a traditional Intel NUC.
