In anticipation of Amazon Prime Day, Razer has revealed that its popular Blade 15 Base Model will be retailing for just under $1000 USD on Amazon to make it the first time ever that a new Blade 15 laptop would retail for that low. The model originally launched for $1500 USD early last year.
Razer says the deal will only be valid from June 21 at 12:00 AM PT to June 22 at 11:59 PM PT or until supplies last.
It's worth noting a few caveats before users jump onboard. In particular, the exact configuration on sale is the lowest entry-level option with the 10th gen Intel Core i7-10750H CPU, GeForce GTX 1660 Ti GPU, and tiny 256 GB SSD. The Base Model is also a few millimeters thicker than the Advanced Model SKUs and it lacks the colorful per-key RGB lighting effects as well. It's still a sleek and thin gaming laptop, of course, but it's definitely not going to be the premier Blade 15 experience.
With the above negatives out of the way, users will likely appreciate the ultra-smooth 120 Hz 1080p display, upgradeable RAM, dual storage options, Thunderbolt 3 connectivity, and general build quality of the minimalist aluminum chassis.
