MSI is justly renowned for its gaming laptops, and it seems there is another fantastic contender to the gaming throne waiting around the corner for gamers to drool over. We were sent a couple of images of an MSI laptop that looks similar to a GT75 Titan device but is overall sleeker and more refined looking. As can be seen in the images, the case lid bears the familiar MSI dragon logo and the laptop itself is adorned in enough color lighting to make any gaming session feel like a party.
Unfortunately, no hardware specifications were offered along with the exclusive photos, but considering the likely high-end pedigree of this MSI gaming laptop, it can be speculated that it offers Nvidia’s greatest mobile graphics solutions: The GeForce RTX 2070 and GeForce RTX 2080. The relatively slender profile of the laptop could point to the energy-saving Max-Q variants of the powerful GPUs being utilized in this device, or perhaps MSI has integrated an efficient enough cooling solution to allow gamers to enjoy the performances of the full versions of the Turing-based graphics cards. It seems obvious that these GPUs would be accompanied by members of Intel’s 9th Gen Coffee Lake-H Refresh lineup, making this new MSI beast an 8-core laptop. In contrast, the GT75 Titan can be configured right up to a 9th Gen i9 CPU with an RTX 2080 GPU.
There’s no name for the MSI gaming laptop in these images, but the familiar design suggests it’s a successor to the GT75 line and therefore could be the GT76, in accordance with MSI’s naming policy. If this is the GT76, then it looks like gamers are in for a treat from what can be gleaned from the leaked images. The astonishing full color-illuminated keys in the keyboard are clearly raised, thus providing players with the mechanical keyboard performance required during an intense WASD-driven gaming session.
Port selection looks healthy too, at least on the visible right-hand side of the leaked MSI gaming laptop. There’s a card reader, a couple of USB 3.0 ports, a USB Type-C port, a DisplayPort, and an HDMI port. You can be sure that any successor to the GT75 will be brimming with connectivity options. Hopefully, we will learn more about this stunning and mysterious MSI laptop over the coming days.
