To coincide with the official reveal of Intel 9th gen, MSI will be revamping both its gaming G Series and professional P Series with the latest Core i9 CPUs and GTX/RTX GPUs. The upcoming P75 will be the first ultra-thin 17.3-inch laptop from MSI designed especially for professional users based on a chassis design not derived from the gaming G Series.

Unlike the more well-known MSI G Series of gaming laptops, the MSI Prestige P Series focuses on business users and content creators who may prefer less gaudy chassis designs fit for offices and meetings. The original 15.6-inch P65 proved to be quite capable with its very high-end specifications considering the thin form factor. This year, MSI will be expanding the lineup with the 17.3-inch P75 equipped with even faster hardware.

According to the MSI press release, the P75 can be configured with a 9th gen Core i9 CPU and dedicated GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q GPU. The system will sport the same space-gray aluminum chassis and Creator Center software as its smaller P65 sibling. Unfortunately, the press release mentions no other details relating to the size, dimensions, price, or exact Core i9 CPU options coming to the new model. We suspect all these specifications to be revealed soon as MSI plans to begin shipping the P75 in the next few days.

Outside of the Prestige P Series, MSI will be updating the P65 and its entire G Series family with similar 9th gen Core i9 options. We will add more P75 details to this page once they become available.
