EMUI 10.1 roadmap for Europe revealed; rollout to start in June
A few days ago, Huawei put out a list of devices eligible for its Android 10-based EMUI 10.1 update. The software brings forth some new features such as Huawei's voice assistant Celia and video calling app MeeTime. Thanks to the folks over at Huawei Central, we now have its rollout schedule for Europe.
As expected, the EMUI 10.1 update will arrive first on the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro in June. The rollout is expected to conclude in a month and will vary depending on your carrier preferences and location. Huawei Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, Mate 20 RS Porsche Design and Huawei Nova 5T have to wait until the end of July to get their taste of EMUI 10.1. Mate 20 X owners, on the other hand, are billed to receive it mid-July. The Magic UI 3.1 update for the Honor View 20, Honor 20, and Honor 20 Pro is expected to arrive at around the same time. Refer to the images attached below to find out more detailed, carrier-specific information.
The EMUI 10.1 and Magic UI 3.1 update will arrive on all eligible devices over-the-air. Alternatively, you can also trigger the update via the HiCare app. Unfortunately, sideloading the update is not an option due to Huawei's locked down bootloader. Do bear in mind that the timeline is tentative and is subject to change at the last minute.
