Huawei is finally delivering the EMUI 10 update to the Mate 10 Pro, P20 Pro, Mate 10, and P20. While the rollout is pegged as a "global" one, it's a bit misleading, as European models remain on EMUI 9.1. That is expected to change shortly, however.

After months of waiting, Huawei is finally sending out the stable global EMUI 10 update to the Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro, P20, and P20 Pro. The update delivers Android 10 wrapped in Huawei's skin to the phones but currently isn't quite as "global" as it should be.

Currently, the EMUI 10 update is rolling out to Asian models of the Mate 10 Pro, P20 Pro, and their younger non-pro siblings. It also appears to be seeding to African models.

For the P20 Pro, the update carries the software version "EMUI 10.0.0.161" and weighs a hefty 4.59 GB, as is typical with EMUI updates. The P20's update is labeled "EMUI 10.0.0.167" and weighs 4.65 GB, while the Mate 10 Pro's update has the software version "EMUI 10.0.0.163" and weighs 4.3 GB.

While some owners in Europe and North America may have received the update, that's just because their phones are the Asian models: CLT-L29 on the P20 Pro, and BLA-L29 on the Mate 10 Pro. The software designations for those regions are denoted by the code "C636".

While Europe remains left out of the party, things are expected to change soon. Huawei's official website shows that the EMUI 10 update will hit European models of the P20 Pro and Mate 10 Pro by mid-June at the latest, so we expect owners to start receiving the update shortly.
