Huawei confirms that up to 13 devices are now eligible for EMUI 10.1
Huawei has confirmed that a host of its devices are now eligible to be upgraded to EMUI 10.1. The same applies to several Honor devices, too. A total of 13 Huawei and Honor have currently been included, although there are some notable omissions. The P30 and P30 Pro are missing, for example, as are the Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro. Oddly, these devices have already received EMUI 10.1 in several countries, including in Huawei's home market, China.
The devices that Huawei claims are eligible to be upgraded to EMUI 10.1 are as follows:
Huawei devices (EMUI 10.1)
- Huawei Mate 20
- Huawei Mate 20 Pro
- Huawei Mate 20X 4G
- Huawei Mate 20X 5G
- Huawei Mate 20 RS Porsche Design
- Huawei nova 5 Pro
- Huawei MediaPad M6 8.4
- Huawei MediaPad M6 10.8
- Huawei MediaPad M6 high-energy version
Honor devices (Magic UI 3.1)
- Honor 20
- Honor 20 PRO
- Honor V20
- Honor Magic2
These devices should receive EMUI 10.1 via an over-the-air (OTA) update. However, the update can also be retrieved from within the Huawei support app. Please keep in mind that this list may only apply to China. Nonetheless, the 13 devices should eventually be eligible globally for an upgrade to EMUI 10.1 if they are not already.
EMUI 10.1 introduces several new features to Huawei and Honor devices, including MeeTime and Celia. Huawei's answer to FaceTime and the Google Assistant respectively, EMUI 10.1 also includes a Multi-Device control panel and better multitasking.
