We stumbled upon what appeared to be an official roadmap which detailed the EMUI 10.1 rollout in Europe. It was scheduled to begin in 'early June,' with the Huawei Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro. One would do well not to take a roadmap at face value, as the actual deployment of the software almost always gets a tad delayed. It appears that Huawei had some difficulties along the path, as it has started rolling out the EMUI 10.1 update to Huawei Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro users in Europe over a week after it said it would.
Huawei Central reports that the European variants of the Huawei Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro have started receiving the EMUI 10.1 update. A cursory glance at the changelog reveals that it is in French, indicating that it could be the first country on Huawei's list. However, it could also have arrived on a French-speaking user's phone who happens to reside in another country.
The EMUI 10.1 update for the Huawei Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro is a hefty 4.3GB in size. While this might seem abnormally high for most other OEMs, it's pretty much par for the course in the case of Huawei phones. You can check for the update via HiCare or manually trigger it via the Settings app. Its availability is subject to a host of factors such as location and carrier preference, so it could take weeks for EMUI 10.1 to arrive on some phones.
