EA DICE may be developing a battle royale mode for Battlefield V
Battlefield V is becoming one of the most highly anticipated games of the year. EA is expected to announce more details about the latest entry in the famous franchise over the next few months, with more information likely to be offered at E3 in June. One of the most recent rumors about the game is that it could end up featuring a battle royale mode, in an effort to snatch up some of the amazing business that Fortnite Battle Royale and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) are currently enjoying.
Apparently, developers at the EA DICE studio have been testing a prototype version of the game mode that has been taking the gaming world by storm. There is no doubt the battle royale market is soon going to welcome new entries from major studios, with both Activision and Ubisoft expected to throw their respective hats into the ring.
The Battlefield series has sold over 60 million units worldwide and has a huge fanbase. With the race for battle royale domination seemingly on, EA DICE will want to make sure the next Battlefield-related release will be up to scratch and be able to perform ably against the already established actors, Fortnite and PUBG, if it does end up including this particular mode.
