Last week, the media exploded with news of Trump's government slamming Huawei with a trade ban that will all but neuter the company's smartphone business, as it finds itself out alone in the cold, without the ability to do business with US companies. If that wasn't bad enough, a Mate 20 Pro also went up in flames a few days ago.
It's unknown why exactly the device chose to go down the path of flames, as the source report is rather vague about the whole episode. In fact, Huawei isn't even mentioned at all in the BBC story, but the image of the scorched phone depicts a Mate 20 Pro, without a doubt.
While there's not much to go by, we're willing to bet Huawei isn't too happy about the occurrence. Bad press is the last thing the company needs at the moment after all.
Huawei devices will be unable to utilize Google's numerous products moving forward, and reports around the Internet claim that has led to heavy drops in the value of the company's devices. It's unknown how all of this will end but we hope it turns out fine for the company, if only for the innovation Huawei devices have brought to the market over the past few years.
