The tech world may be concentrating on the Pixel 4 and Google's decision to leak its own device, but these CAD concept renders of the Mate 30 Pro may have people's heads turning East. They are the work of Serbian CAD designer @PhoneIndustry_, who has taken the design of the Mate 20 Pro and P30 Pro and given them a 2019 twist.
The concept renders show the Mate 30 Pro with dual front-facing cameras, which are embedded beneath the display à la the Samsung Galaxy S10+. Visually, the front of the device is heavily Galaxy S10+ inspired with its curved display and minimal bezels. The back is an evolution of the Mate 20 Pro with its centred rear-facing camera housing, but @PhoneIndustry_ has added a fourth camera, which would presumably be a ToF sensor in line with recent flagship smartphone trends.
We expect Huawei to equip the Mate 30 Pro with a HiSilicon Kirin 985 SoC and an abundance of the latest camera hardware. The device should also feature an in-screen fingerprint scanner, an IR blaster and reverse wireless charging. The OS it will run is still up for dispute though with rumours circulating that Huawei is moving towards an AOSP-based offshoot of Android rather than the current branch of EMUI. Let us know in the comments what you think of the design and whether it could tempt you away from Apple, Google, Samsung and the rest.
