Dell releases Alienware m16 R2 gaming laptop in EU and UK with expanded US availability

Dell has expanded Alienware m16 R2 availability, less than two months after the company presented the gaming laptop during its CES 2024 showcase. For reference, Dell also recently released the UltraSharp U4025QW and UltraSharp U3425WE, a pair of ultra-wide professional monitors. In short, Dell confirmed that the Alienware m16 R2 would start at $1,499 in the US with a Core Ultra 7 155H processor. By contrast, $1,699 would be the starting price for Core Ultra 9 185H SKUs.

Now, it is possible to purchase the laptop in the US for as little as $1,499 or for as much as $3,749.99. While Dell revealed in January that the Alienware m16 R2 would be configurable with GeForce RTX 4050, RTX 4060 and RTX 4070 GPUs, this is not the case in the UK or Europe. Instead, Dell limits the gaming laptop to the GeForce RTX 4060 and RTX 4070 in this markets.

Similarly, the company has decided against bringing 64 GB of RAM SKUs to Europe or the UK, which is a $250 surcharge in the US. As a result, the Alienware m16 R2 costs between £1,648.99 and £3,129.80 in the UK or €1,899 and €3,674.43 in the Eurozone. Please see our Alienware m16 R2 launch article for more hardware details.
