The UltraSharp U4025QW is now available to purchase globally. The new 40-inch curved monitor has arrived for much less than Dell had previously announced too, albeit without any hardware changes to reflect its reduced launch pricing.

Dell has now released the UltraSharp 40 Curved Thunderbolt Hub Monitor U4025QW, or U4025QW for short. For context, Dell showcased the U4025QW roughly two months ago during CES 2024 alongside the UltraSharp 34 Curved Thunderbolt Hub Monitor (U3425WE), which it has also recently started selling. In short, Dell has launched the U4025QW for significantly less than expected, which is also true for the U3425WE.

To recap, the U4025QW outputs at 5,120 x 2,160 pixels across its 40-inch IPS Black panel, which Dell markets as 5K. Also, the monitor supports a 120 Hz refresh rate, unlike its predecessor (curr. $1,619 on Amazon). Contrary to previous expectations, the U4025QW actually utilises DisplayPort 1.4 rather than DisplayPort 2.1, which Dell complements with 140 W device charging via Thunderbolt 4.

For reference, Dell intended to sell the U4025QW for $2,399.99. However, it since has reduced the monitor to $1,919.99, a 20% reduction. Additionally, the monitor's releases now reveals other regional pricing, including in the Eurozone and UK where the U4025QW sells for €1,807.61 and £1,605.60, respectively. Please note that both these prices include VAT, unlike in the US. More details about the U4025QW can be found on Dell's website or in our launch article.
