MWC 2024 | Lenovo ThinkVision M14T Gen 2 mobile monitor gets touch capabilities and better ergonomics for $399
Lenovo first introduced the ThinkVision M14d portable monitor back during MWC 2022 but hasn't updated the display since. At MWC 2024, Lenovo is finally offering a refreshed ThinkVision M14T Gen 2 that adds touch functionality and improved ergonomics.
The ThinkVision M14T Gen 2 is a 14-inch 16:10 60 Hz panel with a 2240 x 1400 resolution and a 300 nits peak brightness. In the box, you get a Type-C to Type-C cable, a bag, touch pen, an L-shaped dongle, and two clips. The display is capable of sensing 4,096 levels of pressure and supports 10-point multi-touch. The dongle helps in positioning the display for automatic landscape and portrait orientation.
According to Lenovo, the mobile monitor covers 100% of the sRGB color gamut and is slated to offer a 1500:1 contrast ratio. The display sports a NearEdgeless design on three sides and comes with TÜV Rheinland certification and Eyesafe 2.0 technology for low blue light emissions without affecting colors.
The portable monitor weighs about 700 g and offers tilt angle from -5° to + 90° (the earlier ThinkVision M14d offered 0 to 90°) with up to 11 mm height adjustment.
Similar to the ThinkVision M14d, the new ThinkVision M14T Gen 2 only offers two USB Type-C ports with DisplayPort Alt mode that can be connected to laptops and smartphones to serve as a second screen. The USB-C ports also serve to charge the connected devices.
The Lenovo ThinkVision M14T Gen 2 mobile monitor is expected to be available from July 2024 starting from US$399.
