Lenovo ThinkBook, ThinkPad and ThinkVision refreshes leak before MWC 2024 showcases with notched display panel designs
Earlier this week, Windows Report delivered a first look at a transparent laptop Lenovo is developing under its ThinkBook range. Currently, the website expects Lenovo to present the unnamed device in Barcelona later this month during MWC 2024. However, it currently remains to be seen whether it will remain a concept like the company's rollable laptop and smartphone projects or a mass-produced but unusual device like the Yoga Book 9i (curr. $2,999 on Amazon) and ThinkPad X1 Fold.
Regardless, Windows Report has shared details about various other products that Lenovo plans to showcase alongside its transparent ThinkBook laptop. In summary, the website has disclosed early details and photos about seven upcoming refreshes:
- ThinkBook 14 G4
- ThinkPad T14 Gen 5 - AMD
- ThinkPad T14 Gen 5 - Intel
- ThinkPad T14S Gen 5
- ThinkPad T16 Gen 3
- ThinkPad x12 Detachable Gen 2
- ThinkVision M14T Gen 2
From what Windows Report has gleaned, it appears that most of the devices listed above are minor refinements over existing models. For example, Lenovo has brought its notched display panel design to more devices this time around, including the ThinkPad T16. Elsewhere, the company has added a pair of USB Type-C ports to the ThinkVision M14T for its second-generation model, with Windows Report speculating that it may have been refreshed with an OLED panel, eschewing the IPS and WLED equivalent in the current model. Unfortunately, other details are unknown for now, such as the new model's processor choices and other hardware upgrades.
