Transparent Lenovo ThinkBook laptop pictured before rumoured MWC 2024 announcement

Lenovo has a history of releasing unusual releasing unusual laptops, whether that be the Yoga Book 9i or the ThinkPad X1 Fold. For reference, the company refreshed the Yoga Book 9i last month with the Core Ultra 7 155U, an Intel Meteor Lake processor. A recent Windows Report suggests that Lenovo may be on the verge of introducing an even more unusual product, though.

Somehow, the website has obtained images of another dual-screen device. However, this unreleased machine has a transparent panel, as well as a conventional display. For some reason, the latter serves as a capacitive keyboard and touchpad area rather than a display itself. In other words, the device builds on the Yoga Book 9i (curr. $2,999 on Amazon) with an even stranger form factor.

Potentially, the device may arrive under Lenovo's ThinkBook series rather than as another Yoga Book model. Also, two USB Type-C ports can be seen, as can a Windows 11 background image. Other details remain unknown for now though, including its underlying processor. Effectively, Lenovo's transparent laptop is like a smaller-scale LG Signature OLED T, a 77-inch transparent TV that will launch later this year. As for Lenovo's transparent laptop, Windows Report claims this will arrive later this month during MWC 2024 in Barcelona alongside a host of updated ThinkBook, ThinkPad and ThinkVision devices.
