MWC 2022 | Lenovo launches the ThinkVision M14d monitor with a 14-inch 2.2K screen
Lenovo's newly announced laptops at MWC 2022 don't quite replicate the Galaxy Book 2 Pro series' ability to use a tablet as a second screen. However, Lenovo has launched the new ThinkVision M14d portable monitor for those who need the extra screen real estate. It will cost US$299 and hit shelves sometime in July 2022.
The Lenovo ThinkVision M14d monitor uses a 14-inch 2.2K (2240 x 1400) IPCS LCD panel, making it a perfect companion for a 16:10 monitor. It has a refresh rate of 60 Hz, peak brightness of 300 nits, 6 ms response time and covers 100% of the sRGB colour gamut. It weighs 0.6 kg (1.3 lbs), making it relatively easy to lung around next to a laptop. One can also mount it via the two included 100 mm screw-holes.
Given its compact size, the Lenovo ThinkVision M14d external monitor doesn't have any ports other than the two USB Type-C ports that can double up as DP1.4 ports. However, they can deliver up to 65 W of power to a connected device. An external power source is required to power the monitor. It is also worth noting that the Lenovo Display Control Centre app does not work with Windows 11 laptops, for some reason.
