Nintendo is confirmed to launch the Switch 2 before April 2025, and there have been a good number of leaks that have hinted at different launch timelines. For instance, a recent report suggested that the gaming handheld could launch in early February, while a leak before suggested the launch was set for January.
Now, a new leak from the Italian website UAGNA claims that the first-party Nintendo Switch 2 accessories will hit the market on March 28. Given that it would not make sense for accessories to be released before the actual device, the outlet believes that the next-gen handheld will also launch on the said date.
Of course, it's no secret that third-party accessory makers already have access to the actual dimensions of the Nintendo Switch 2. Dbrand, for example, asserted that its Killswitch case for the gaming handheld is based on a "3D scan of the real hardware."
It appears that Dbrand isn't the only one having access to the 3D scan of the real device. A good number of Switch 2 accessories have popped up in the Chinese marketplace in the past few weeks. However, the case for the first-party accessories being released is different.
The rumored March 2025 launch timeline also aligns with the release of the last-gen gaming handheld (Legion Go curr. $549 on Amazon). To be specific, Nintendo first released the first-gen Switch in March 2017. However, it's also worth noting that the first-gen device was officially shown way before the actual release date, but things are turning out to be a little different for the upcoming device, as the company hasn't officially revealed anything yet.
