Zotac has now confirmed that it will be attending CES 2025 next week with a slew of new products. In amongst new PCs and graphics cards is a second-generation Zone gaming handheld, which Zotac insists will arrive with 'stronger hardware' than its OLED and Hall effect-backed predecessor.

CES 2025 is right around the corner with hundreds of companies confirmed to be attending. Unsurprisingly, some are attempting to steal a march on their rivals by revealing CES 2025 plans ahead of schedule.

For example, Lenovo has already teased that multiple new Legion Go gaming handhelds are on the horizon as a successor to the Legion Go 8APU1 (curr. $549.99 on Amazon) that we reviewed at the start of 2024. Now, Zotac has done the same, albeit while also disclosing details about other new products destined for the 2025 edition of CES.

Specifically, Zotac has revealed the following to TechPowerUp in a press release:

...ZOTAC is back to give media a very early sneak peek on the potential next step of the ZOTAC GAMING ZONE with stronger hardware.

Unfortunately, Zotac has not defined what 'stronger hardware' means yet. With that being said, one could speculate that a processor upgrade is in order, particularly given that it sells the original Zone with an AMD Ryzen 7 8840U APU and a mere 16 GB of RAM. Currently, we would anticipate Zotac turning to the Ryzen AI HX 370 or the Ryzen Z2 Extreme, which will probably prove more popular in gaming handhelds than Intel's Lunar Lake equivalents that power the recent Claw 7 AI Plus and Claw 8 AI Plus.

On top of that, we would expect the next Zotac Zone to retain some of its predecessor's standout features, such as its d-pad, Hall effect triggers and 120 Hz OLED display that is much brighter than those found in its peers. For reference, Zotac's full press release is as follows:

Industry-leading technology manufacturer ZOTAC TECHNOLOGY PTE. Limited is headed to Las Vegas to showcase its newest products at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025, one of the world's biggest tech events where hundreds of companies from over 150 countries showcase their latest innovations. This is the first time for ZOTAC to showcase its diverse range of products since its headquarters relocated to Singapore.

ZOTAC will include the Healthcare series ZBOX H37R3500W in the showcase, powered with an NVIDIA RTX Ada Generation professional GPU with up to an Intel Core i9 processor in an all-white metal enclosure, EN 60601-1 certification required for medical electronic devices, it aims to boost AI capabilities in the healthcare sector. Following the successful launch of the ZOTAC GAMING ZONE, ZOTAC GAMING's first-ever gaming handheld with an AMOLED display, premium controls, and hardware, ZOTAC is back to give media a very early sneak peek on the potential next step of the ZOTAC GAMING ZONE with stronger hardware.

Lastly, the MEK Series, ZOTAC GAMING's premium PC system series will also make an appearance in CES 2025. Designed to deliver a high performance gaming experience with ultimate quality, these PCs feature ZOTAC GAMING Graphics Cards and AMD Ryzen processors to elevate gaming right out of the box.
