Ayaeno is gearing up to release its very first Ryzen AI 9 HX 370-powered gaming handheld, the Ayaneo 3. The company has been teasing the device for a good while, and now, it has made its Indiegogo debut. Its launch timeline has also been confirmed.
As shared in a recent live stream, the launch event of the Ayaneo 3 is set for late January 2025. With the Zen 5 AMD APU, it will be going against the Ryzen Z2 series models that will be showcased at the CES 2025 event. Of course, Ayaneo's gaming handheld will also be offered with a Hawk Point APU.
More specifically, besides the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, there will be a variant of the Ayaneo 3 that will be powered by the last-gen Ryzen 7 8840U. The latter is positioned to go against the non-Extreme Ryzen Z2 series models and the other Zen 4 gaming handhelds that launched earlier (Legion Go curr. $549.99 on Amazon).
However, the internal hardware isn't the main highlight of the Ayaneo 3. As we've covered earlier, the gaming handheld has a unique modular design. Alongside the swappable buttons, it has swappable modules. These modules aim to offer a fully customizable experience, allowing gamers to get the control layout according to their preference.
Previous teasers have also confirmed that there will be options in terms of the screen, with the gaming handheld planned to be offered with LCD and OLED screen options. Another big highlight of the Ayaneo 3 is the self-developed "Magnetic Suspension Motor," which aims to deliver realistic vibration feedback.
Pricing details hasn't been confirmed yet. However, given that the gaming handheld has been fully showcased, you can expect more details to be revealed soon.
