Cheaper Xiaomi Robot Vacuum S40C now available

Xiaomi has released the Robot Vacuum S40C in Europe. This smart home product was unveiled on the brand’s global website in May 2025, when many of its features were revealed.

Now, in countries like Italy and Germany, you can buy the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum S40C at the brand’s online store for €159.99; this is an introductory discount on the €189.99 RRP. Plus, support pages at Mi Store UK and a product listing at Amazon Netherlands indicate that this model will be released more widely in Europe in the near future.

The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum S40C’s features are a reflection of its relatively low price point. It offers up to 5,000 Pa suction power, with users able to choose between four cleaning modes: Silent, Standard, Strong and Turbo. Similarly, for mopping, there are three output levels allowing you to adjust the amount of water dispensed to suit your floor. The onboard dustbin has a 520 ml capacity, and the clean water tank has a 260 ml capacity.

Xiaomi’s Robot Vacuum S40C uses an LDS laser navigation system, with a 360° room scanning function and the ability to customize saved maps in the Xiaomi Home app. There are also obstacle detection sensors, and the robot can climb over thresholds and other obstacles that are up to 20 mm (~0.8 inches) tall. Other app-based features include scheduling, over the air (OTA) updates and real-time progress monitoring. Alternatively, you can remotely control the vacuum with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant voice commands. It remains to be seen precisely when the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum S40C will roll out to other markets.
