The Xiaomi Smart Central Control Screen Max has been unveiled in China. This new model will shortly begin crowdfunding in China on the brand’s Youpin platform. The device is designed to act as a smart home hub, through which you can remotely control a wide range of appliances.
Xiaomi’s Smart Central Control Screen Max has a 10-inch touchscreen with a WUXGA 1,920 x 1,200 px resolution. To the left of the screen is a frosted glass knob with integrated lights that is used to adjust the brightness of lights, the temperature of a thermostat or fan, or the position of smart curtains.
The Smart Central Control Screen Max has an integrated microphone, enabling support for Xiao AI voice commands. Plus, combined with the built-in integrated 5 MP camera, users can make voice and video calls via WeChat on the device. Powered by Xiaomi HyperOS, it features Xiaomi’s Mesh2.0 gateway, with support for 2.4GHz/5GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.3. This also allows the smart screen to be remotely controlled via the brand’s app. It measures 292 x 160 x 29 mm (~11.5 x 6.3 x 1.1 inches) and has a dark gray finish.
On September 8th, a crowdfunding campaign for the Xiaomi Smart Central Control Screen Max will launch. While backers are asked to pledge CNY 1,999 (~$280) for the device, it is listed with an RRP of CNY 2,499 (~$350). Whether or when this smart home product could reach other markets like Europe remains to be seen; here, the brand already sells devices like the Smart Home Hub 2 (curr. €39.99 at Mi Store Germany).
