The Dyson V8 Cyclone Cordless Vacuum Cleaner has been launched in Taiwan and China. This new model tops the brand’s V8 series, with various upgrades of the next best model, the V8 Advanced.
The V8 Cyclone is said to offer a 99.5% dust pickup rate. This is thanks to a 110,000 rpm digital motor with up to 150 air watts suction, a 30% improvement compared to older models. There is a full sealed filter system, trapping 99.99% of fine dust and PM0.3 particles. The Root Cycline Dust Collection technology uses 15 conical cycles to create a strong centrifugal force to suck dust into the vacuum’s bag.
Dyson’s V8 Cyclone has a single button, which can be used to select from three suction modes: Eco, Medium and Strong. It has the brand’s Fluffy soft lint roller brush to help it trap dirt. Plus, there is a handheld mode with various attachments to help you clean in small spaces or on fabric surfaces. It also offers a longer run time of 60 minutes compared to the 40 minutes offered by the V8 Advanced. According to Dyson, it weighs 2.37 kg (~5.2 lbs), has a 0.54 L onboard dustbin and fully recharges in four hours.
In Taiwan, the Dyson V8 Cyclone Cordless Vacuum Cleaner is priced at TWD 14,900 (~$488), and it retails for CNY 2,999 (~$418) in China. It is unclear when this new model could reach other markets, where the older Dyson V8 Plus Cordless Vacuum is available for $469.99 at Amazon.
