Black Shark Watch X-H100: Xiaomi releases new smartwatch with built-in camera, bright display and huge battery capacity
Xiaomi has expanded its Black Shark sub-brand with a new smartwatch. For context, the company has introduced multiple Black Shark wearables this year, including a smart ring. However, none of these are available outside China yet, unlike the Black Shark S1 Pro (curr. $79.99 on Amazon).
Now, Xiaomi has begun selling the Watch X-H100 in its home market, which it equips with a 1.9-inch display. As the teaser image below shows, Xiaomi advertises the comparatively large display as delivering 600 nits peak brightness and a 60 Hz refresh rate; faster refresh rates have escaped smartwatches for now. Additionally, the Watch X-H100 relies upon a 900 mAh battery, which Xiaomi rates for approximately 72 hours of usage between charges.
Moreover, the smartwatch supports cellular connectivity and even has a camera built into its frame. Based around a 2 MP sensor, the camera sits in place of where a digital crown would be and is intended to be used for scanning QR codes without needing to reach for a paired smartphone. For reference, Xiaomi sells the Black Shark Watch X-H100 through JD.com for CNY 699 (~$98), which is considerably less than the Watch S4 Sport that it announced last month.
