The BenQ LW600ST+ Short Throw LED Simulation Projector has been announced for North America and Europe. This new model is designed for commercial use, helping businesses to create immersive experiences such as interactive art exhibitions or indoor sports.
The LW600ST+ has a short throw ratio of 0.72-0.87 with a WXGA (1,280 x 800 px) resolution; there is support for VGA to Full HD resolutions. The DLP projector’s 4LED light source is said to deliver up to 3,200 ANSI lumens brightness and is expected to run for around 20,000 hours. The model also offers a 16:10 native aspect ratio, a 20,000:1 contrast ratio, and 94% coverage of the Rec. 709 color gamut.
There is 1.2x zoom, and the image can be perfected with tools like Screen Fill, 2D Keystone Correction and Corner Fit. Plus, users can choose between a range of modes including 3D, Presentation and Simulator. Ports on the device include HDMI 1.4, USB-A and RS232, and there is said to be a 33.4 ms input lag at 1080p@60Hz. Plus, you can choose to purchase an optional Wi-Fi dongle, allowing you to wirelessly screen share from a mobile device.
On top of this, there is an integrated 10W speaker and a 3.5 mm audio out port. This model measures 304 x 107 x 221 mm (~12.0 x 4.2 x 8.7 inches) and weighs 2.9 kg (~6.3 lbs). You can now buy the BenQ LW600ST+ LED Simulation Projector in the US for $1,199. This model has yet to be released in Europe, where it is expected to retail for €1,099.
