Ayaneo has been teasing its Ayaneo 3 gaming handheld since October without revealing a specific release date. This even applied earlier this week when the company unveiled the Retro Power Edition, which sports a more colourful appearance than the existing black and white versions of the same device.
Ayaneo had hinted that the Ayaneo 3 would be available sometime in late January but had not shared any specifics in this regard. Now, it has confirmed that the Ayaneo 3 will be officially released tomorrow at 12:00 UTC before reaching Indiegogo between 13:30 and 14:00 UTC on the same day. In summary, the Ayaneo 3 will be available with the following hardware highlights:
- AMD Ryzen 7 8840U/Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APU
- 7-inch LCD or OLED display
- Modular gamepad buttons
- OCuLink connectivity
In other words, the Ayaneo 3 will be about as powerful as the OneXFly F1 Pro (curr. $1,754.95 on Amazon) but with superior eGPU support. Exact pricing for the Ayaneo 3 remains a mystery at this stage. For now, Ayaneo has only implied that there will be multiple pricing tiers, with early bird pricing being limited to '100 units per SKU'. The company added on Discord that it will be providing 'free gift packs' with pre-orders placed within 7 days of the campaign going live, albeit without confirming what these gift packs contain. More details about the Ayaneo 3 can be found on the device's Indiegogo campaign page.
