Audio-Technica’s new ATH-AL5NC open-back wireless headphones deliver Hi-Res LDAC audio, low-latency gaming performance, and long battery life. Designed for spacious sound without heat build-up, they offer ANC, dual-device connectivity, and optional wired playback.

Audio-Technica has unveiled the ATH-AL5NC open-back wireless headphones for music enthusiasts and gamers, with active noise cancellation.

The Bluetooth 5.3 headphones come with the Hi-Res Audio LDAC codec and 53 mm drivers, allowing them to reproduce high-resolution music across a frequency range of 20 Hz to 40 kHz. They can connect to up to two wireless audio sources at once.

Their open design provides a spacious soundstage without heat build-up, according to the company. The headphones can also be used in low-latency mode by gamers thanks to a built-in MEMS microphone, with a frequency response range of 50 Hz to 10 kHz.

For extended gaming or listening without worrying about battery life, the ATH-AL5NC can be used with the included 1.2 m (3.9 ft.) audio cable to connect to digital audio players (DAPs), CD players (like the Snowsky Beatbox, which is sold here on Amazon), game consoles, and laptops. When wired, the headphones use the in-line condenser microphone in the cable, which has a frequency response range of 100 Hz to 10 kHz.

Sound leakage can be reduced by activating the leakage prevention mode, while external noise can be reduced by activating the active noise cancellation mode. Due to the headphone's open design, neither mode will be highly effective.

The 240 g (8.5 oz.) ATH-AL5NC headphones have a rated runtime of up to 50 hours with ANC on and can be fully recharged in 3.5 hours. They can also quickly add 8 hours of runtime after 15 minutes of charging.

The ATH-AL5NC headphones have an MSRP of $279 and are available from Audio-Technica's website. Readers can look for their arrival soon in the Audio-Technica store on Amazon.

The Audio-Technica ATH-AL5NC wireless headphones can also be used as wired headphones.
