Asus has started selling a new 14-inch laptop backed by an OLED display and a 70 Wh battery. Available with up to 24 GB of RAM in some markets, the Zenbook 14 UX3480 is also said to last up to 19 hours in official tests during web browsing.

Earlier this week, we reported that Asus had started selling its new Zenbook 14 with Intel Panther Lake processors and an optional 1,100-nit OLED display. Simultaneously, the company released an ARM-backed alternative, which Asus claims last up to 30 hours in official battery life tests.

Alternatively, Asus has released AMD-based versions of the Zenbook 14 UX3480 as well. To recap, the Zenbook 14 UX3480KA debuted in June during Computex 2026 alongside its Intel and Qualcomm counterparts. For context, the Zenbook 14 UX3480KA has arrived just a few months after Asus released the Zenbook 14 (UM3406) (curr. $1,199 on Amazon) with AMD Gorgon Point processors.

By contrast, the Zenbook 14 UX3480KA adopts the Ryzen AI 5 330 and Ryzen AI 7 345 from AMD's Krackan Point 2 and Krackan Point families. Both Zen 5 architecture processors, the Ryzen AI 5 330 and Ryzen AI 7 345 feature fewer processor cores and worse iGPUs than their Gorgon Point siblings.

Additionally, Asus equips the Zenbook 14 UX3480KA with up to 24 GB of RAM, 1 TB of PCIe 4.0 storage, a 70 Wh battery and a 1200p OLED display with touchscreen and stylus support. Generally speaking, most of these components are not available to order in all markets, though.

Instead, the new 14-inch laptop tends to combine a 70 Wh battery with the Ryzen AI 7 345, 16 GB of RAM, 512 GB of storage and a 1200p OLED display without touchscreen or stylus support. Incidentally, this 70 Wh battery is said to last more than 33 hours in light use and up to 19 hours when web browsing at 150 nits.

The Zenbook 14 UX3480KA costs £1,399 in the UK, £100 more than its Intel counterpart and £600 more than Asus' Snapdragon models. According to Asus' multiple online stores, pre-orders should start shipping in the next few days. Meanwhile, the UAE has received a 24 GB RAM SKU for AED 5,299 (~$1,440). In comparison, Eurozone starting prices vary between €1,199 and €1,499, again with 16 GB of RAM. Please see the company's website for more details.
