Asus ROG Phone 6 confirmed to feature a 165 Hz AMOLED screen
Earlier in the week, Asus finally confirmed the release date of its next-gen gaming phone, the ROG Phone 6. The company has now also begun the marketing campaign for the phone, by revealing some display specs of the ROG Phone 6.
As confirmed by the ROG Global official Twitter page, the ROG Phone 6 will arrive with a 165 Hz AMOLED screen. The company's previous range-topping gaming model, the ROG Phone 5s Pro, was equipped with a 144 Hz AMOLED, so the ROG Phone 6 will be an upgrade in that department.
While most phones still maintain 120 Hz displays, gaming phones have consistently sought out higher refresh rate displays over the past few years, and the ROG Phone 6 will sit at the head of that table. Right next to Nubia's RedMagic 6 and RedMagic 7 series, at least. Supposedly, though, the ROG Phone 6 will use a Samsung panel, versus the Visionox one on the RedMagic phones.
Other details of the ROG Phone 6 can be expected to be slowly revealed over the next few weeks, with the phone scheduled to make its debut on July 5.
