MSI Raider GE67 HX: US$1,000 cheaper alternative to the Razer Blade 15 is already orderable with a 240 Hz OLED display
MSI has already started offering the Raider GE67 HX, a gaming laptop that it announced less than a week ago. Incidentally, the larger Raider GE77 has made its way to B&H as well, but the retailer is not accepting orders yet. By contrast, B&H is taking pre-orders for the Raider GE67 HX, which is available in two configurations. Specifically, B&H has added the Raider GE67HX 12UHS and Raider GE67HX 12UGS to its inventory; for some reason, the Raider GE67HX 12UH is missing for the time being.
Fundamentally, only GPU choice separates the three Raider GE67 HX SKUs, with the RTX 3070 Ti, RTX 3080 and RTX 3080 Ti offered for the 12UGS, 12UH and 12UHS, respectively. However, the prices below represent the Raider GE67 HX with the Core i7-12800HX, not the Core i9-12900HX that will eventually be configurable too. Incidentally, both of the SKUs that B&H offer also feature 1 TB of NVMe storage (PCIe Gen4), plus the Raider GE67's standout 240 Hz and 1440p OLED display.
At launch, B&H will offer the Raider GE67 HX from US$2,499, before taxes. According to the retailer, that price includes 16 GB of DDR5 RAM, which is expandable to 64 GB if needed. Alternatively, B&H sells a 32 GB model, but this is a US$900 surcharge that features the RTX 3080 Ti too. As it stands, B&H will let people place pre-orders, albeit without specifying when either SKU will ship. In comparison, Razer will not start selling the Blade 15 with a 240 Hz OLED display until Q4 2022. Additionally, the machine will start at US$3,499.99 with a Core i9-12900H and an RTX 3070 Ti, US$1,000 more than the Raider GE67.
