Razer Blade 15: Refresh brings 240 Hz OLED display option to Intel Core i9-12900H and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti combination for $3,499.99
In 2019, the Razer Blade 15 returned with 240 Hz Full HD or 4K OLED display options. Now, Razer has combined its high refresh rate and OLED displays to deliver a 240 Hz OLED option for the new Blade 15. According to the company's press release, the Blade 15 also features powerful Intel and NVIDIA components that should be capable of taking advantage of the laptop's 240 Hz refresh rate.
Specifically, the 240 Hz OLED options will output at QHD (2,560 x 1,440), not 4K (3,840 x 2,160). Still, the panel will offer 1 ms response times, 400 nits of peak brightness and 100% DCI-P3 colour space coverage. Unfortunately, Razer has not disclosed what panel it has sourced for the new Blade 15.
Elsewhere, the Blade 15 comes with an Intel Core i9-12900H processor, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti GPU and 32 GB of LPDDR5 RAM. Razer adds that the laptop also ships with a 1 TB SSD, although it has included an additional M.2 2280 slot for a second SSD. Moreover, Razer emphasises that the new Blade 15 features plenty of ports, including HDMI, an SD card reader, Thunderbolt 4, USB Type-A and USB Type-C.
For some reason, Razer will not begin selling the new Blade 15 model until Q4 2022. Currently, the company has only confirmed that the machine will cost US$3,499.99 in the US; prices in other markets, like the Eurozone, remain unknown at this stage.
