The Anker USB Power Strip (12-in-1, 20W) has been launched in some European countries. This accessory, with model number A9185, was rumoured late last year, with a leaked product sketch revealing some details.
As its name suggests, the USB Power Strip offers 12 outputs. On the top of this tower extension lead are four USB ports, two USB-C and two USB-A. Each USB-A offers 12W, with the USB-C providing 20W and 15W, respectively. Anker suggests that this 20W output could charge an iPhone 16 to 50% in around half an hour. The remaining eight outputs are AC outlets, with two on each side of the tower.
There is a 7-point safety system that offers 300J surge protection, fire resistance, and protection against overload and overcurrent. Anker suggests that the tower design is space-saving and helps to reduce clutter and tangled cables. It measures 8.5 x 8.5 x 15 cm, with AC outlets spaced 5.2 cm apart, and the power cable, for an up to 4,000W input, is 2 m long. Plus, you can manually turn off all devices using a built-in power switch.
You can now buy the Anker USB Power Strip (12-in-1, 20W) in the UK for £34.99, with a 14% or £5 in-page coupon at Amazon reducing the price to £29.99. The model is also available at Amazon Germany, where customers are offered a 15% discount, lowering the cost from €39.99 to €36.00. The product is expected to roll out to other EU countries in the near future. At the time of writing, there is no indication of a version of this Anker tower accessory for the US market. However, the older Anker USB Power Strip (12-in-1, 35W), with 8 AC outlets and four USB ports is currently available at Amazon for $29.99.
