AYN Technologies continues to drip feed information about its next gaming handheld. To recap, the company kicked off proceedings by outlining that the device would weigh less than 320 g while containing a Mini LED display. Subsequently, it revealed what the device would look like from the front, an example of which we have embedded above.
This time, it has provided an exploded view of the device, the name of which it has also now confirmed. As the image below shows, AYN Technologies intends to sell its PlayStation Vita (PSP Vita) lookalike as the Odin2 Mini. Although the company has not acknowledged as much yet, the Odin 2 Mini's name implies that it will be smaller than the existing Odin2 (curr. $449 on Amazon).
Moreover, the images below highlight that the Odin2 Mini will be actively cooled by a small single fan and a modest heat sink. On top of that, the gaming handheld has a top-mounted microSD card and what appears to be a Micro HDMI port. Meanwhile, an AYN Technologies representative and official Discord administrator has suggested that the company is currently targeting a summer 2024 release for the Odin2 Mini.
