AOC introduces new 5K gaming monitor with 180 Hz refresh rate and plenty of ports

After being announced in late 2025, the AOC Agon Pro AGP277KX gaming monitor is now available for preordering in China. A global launch is also quite likely, considering that AOC does have a decent track record of bringing its products to the international market.
AOC Agon Pro: 5K gaming monitor with dual-mode functionality
The 27-inch gaming monitor sports a resolution of 5120 x 2880, colloquially known as 5K. This allows for an impressive pixel density of 218 PPI, which is excellent for productivity as well as high-fidelity gaming. The refresh rate is capped at 180 Hz in the 5K mode, and goes up all the way to a whopping 350 Hz in FHD mode, allowing both casual and competitive gamers a great experience.
AOC also claims 99% and 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 and sRGB color gamuts respectively, along with a ΔE of less than 1. This makes the panel decent for content creation as well, given that customers do not mind the 500 nit peak brightness.
Unfortunately for HDR enthusiasts, there is no mini LED backlighting option. As a result, the panel boasts a mediocre contrast ratio of 1000:1.

A plethora of gaming-oriented features are present, such as dynamic crosshair, dark area enhancement, and more. Ergonomic adjustments including tilt, swivel, height, and pivot settings are possible. The I/O on offer is pretty solid, including the following ports:
- DisplayPort 2.1
- Dual HDMI 2.1
- 3.5 mm audio jack
- USB Type-C ( 65-watt power delivery)
- Triple USB Type-A, USB Type-B
Pricing and availability
As mentioned earlier, the AOC Agon Pro AGP277KX gaming monitor is already available for pre-order from JD.com, priced at 5,999 Yuan or roughly $871.
A global launch is possible, but is not in sight for now. Gamers who need a new 5K 180 Hz gaming monitor right now can check out the ASUS ROG Strix XG27JCG, priced at $850 on Amazon as of this writing.
