Retailer leak points to imminent launch of Bethesda's latest sci-fi RPG for PS5

Earlier in March 2026, prominent leaker @billbil_kun reported that Bethesda would be announcing its latest major sci-fi game, Starfield, for PS5. Now, the game's PlayStation 5 version has been spotted at a Romanian retailer, which hints that the launch is around the corner.
For those who missed it, @billbil_kun reported that the studio would be announcing the game for PS5 on March 17 or March 18, 2026, and while it will be available for pre-order right away, the full launch date is said to be set for April 7, 2026. The Romanian store also states that Starfield for PlayStation 5 will launch on the same date.
Of course, it's possible that the retailer has put up a placeholder page based on the rumors, but Bethesda has also officially teased that the studio will share something about Starfield later in March 2026. Many are speculating that it would be the much-awaited announcement for the PS5 version.
The leak from @billbil_kun has also shared the potential pricing strategy for Starfield PS5. Just like the Xbox and PC versions, which launched in 2023, there will be two editions: Standard and Premium. Among the two, the former is reported to launch with a $49.99 or €49.99 price tag, while the latter could go for $69.99 or €69.99.
These rumored prices are lower than the Xbox and PC launch price tags. To recall, Bethesda released the Standard edition of the game at $69.99 (get $3.50 cashback on Humble Store), while the Premium edition retailed for $99.99. While the price on the Romanian retailer is higher than the leaked one, a Portuguese retailer, GamingReplay, has put up the Standard version online for €49.99.
Even so, until Bethesda makes the announcement official, these retailer listings should be taken with a grain of salt. However, they do suggest that PlayStation 5 players don't have to wait long to dive straight into Bethesda's sci-fi action RPG.
