Hisense showcases new RGB mini-LED and 5K gaming monitors with 2,304 zones and 2,000 nits peak brightness

Hisense is finally bringing its high-end TV tech to gaming monitors. At AWE2026 in China, the company showcased new mini-LED gaming displays, headlined by the Hisense UX with a true RGB mini-LED backlight. As reported by IT Home, this monitor features 2,304 local dimming zones, and like the newer E8S Pro RGB-MiniLED TV, it also comes with the Hisense H7 AI image processing chip and Obsidian Screen coating.
RGB mini-LED for brighter, more vibrant colors
Unlike traditional mini-LED displays, RGB mini-LED enables precise control over both brightness and color. Instead of using a single white or blue LED as a backlight, the Hisense UX uses individually controlled red, green, and blue diodes within each LED. So, when the screen needs to display a blue color, the backlight only lights up the blue diode or mix them for specific colors. This eliminates the need for color filters, resulting in purer, more vibrant colors with less halo effect around bright objects.
That said, the Hisense UX features 2,304 local dimming zones and up to 6,912 color control zones, enabling higher color volume up to 100% of the BT.2020 color gamut. Alongside the UX, Hisense also showcased the GX Ultra with a 5K mini-LED panel. Also with 2,304 zones, 2,000 nits peak brightness, and Obsidian screen coating, this model can switch between 5K at 165 Hz and QHD at 330 Hz and comes with a full bandwidth DisplayPort. 2.1 port.
Additional specifications and release date details for the Hisense UX and GX Ultra mini-LED monitors will be announced at a later date.
