Up to 37x faster game loading times: Intel declares war on loading bars with Arc update

The Intel Arc driver update to version 32.0.101.8626 WHQL can now be downloaded at on the Intel website. The update primarily introduces a feature called Intel Graphics Shader Distribution Service, which is based on a new function in Microsoft's DirectX AgilitySDK.
Intel provides pre-compiled shaders in the cloud, which the graphics driver automatically downloads when required. As a result, games should start much faster and have shorter loading times. This feature is currently only available for 13 games, but the list of supported titles will be gradually expanded. The following games already benefit from the shorter loading times:
- Black Myth: Wukong
- Borderlands 4
- Call of Duty: Black Ops 6
- Call of Duty: Black Ops 7
- Cyberpunk 2077
- God of War Ragnarok
- Gotham Knights
- Hogwarts Legacy
- NBA 2K26
- Starfield
- S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2
- The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered
- The Outer Worlds 2
Intel advertises loading times that are on average twice as fast for the Intel Arc B390 iGPU and the Intel Arc B580 ($299 on Amazon), while loading times for the older Intel Arc 140V are even said to be three times faster on average. God of War Ragnarök is said to benefit particularly drastically from this feature, loading 37 times faster than before on an Intel Arc B390, while Cyberpunk 2077, for example, loads "only" 30 percent faster on an Arc B580. The driver update is available for the following GPUs, among others:
- Intel Arc B570 | Arc B580
- Intel Arc A310 | Arc A380
- Intel Arc A580
- Intel Arc A750 | Arc A770
- Intel Arc B370 | Arc B390
- Intel Arc 130V | Arc 140V
- Intel Arc 130 T | Arc 140T
- Intel Arc A350M | Arc A370M
- Intel Arc A530M | Arc A550M | Arc A570M
