Intel Arc B70 Pro and B65 Pro leak reveals ‘Big Battlemage’ workstation GPUs with 32GB ECC GDDR6 ahead of March 25 launch

Intel’s Battlemage BGM-G31 GPUs have been leaked before. However, the exact launch date for the GPUs was previously unknown. According to VideoCardz, Intel will launch the Arc B70 Pro and B65 Pro on March 25, 2025. Despite earlier claims that Intel would release gaming graphics cards, these GPUs are intended for workstations.
According to Intel's press materials, the official specifications for the Arc B70 Pro and B65 Pro have been revealed. Furthermore, these GPUs will also come with third-party shroud designs.
Intel Arc Pro cards mark the first public debut of the company's “Big Battlemage” silicon. However, these GPUs are specifically intended for creators' workstations and AI developers who prioritize stability and reliability over raw speed.
Both the B70 Pro and B65 Pro feature 32 GB of ECC GDDR6 memory on a 256-bit bus, a welcome step up from the existing B60’s 24 GB configuration. The ECC memory is essential here, as a single bit flip could ruin a long render or an AI training run.
The leak also confirms earlier specifications regarding the B70 Pro and B65 Pro: the B70 Pro will feature 32 Xe2 cores and a TGP range of 160–290 watts. Intel’s TBP for the reference B70 Pro will be around 230 watts.
The B65 Pro, on the other hand, will launch with the same VRAM configuration but only 20 Xe2 cores, effectively making it a beefier (in terms of memory configuration and bandwidth) B60 Pro with a peak TGP of 200 watts.
Intel’s B70 Pro currently presents itself as the new flagship in Intel’s Arc Pro lineup, offering 60% more cores than the B60 while keeping power draw within a respectable range. The B65 Pro, on the other hand, will essentially give users more memory headroom with a cut in core count, making it the midrange option for professionals who don’t want to overspend on their workflows.
Both cards will support Intel’s usual Pro features, such as DisplayPort 2.1a output, and are expected to be fully compatible with the company’s latest workstation drivers.
As the B70 Pro and B65 Pro are expected to launch next week, the exact pricing and availability of the graphics cards remain unknown. As for gamers hoping to get their hands on the Battlemage B770, they’ll have to wait, as it seems Intel is prioritizing its new Pro cards first.
For those who want a readily available consumer-grade option, the Intel Arc B580 remains a potent contender, trading at MSRP across a variety of AIB options.
