Lenovo confirms RTX 5070 12GB gaming laptops launching soon with Intel Core Ultra 7 251HX models also joining
Intel officially announced Arrow Lake HX Plus processors earlier this week. Currently, the new Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus is only shipping inside three Alienware gaming laptops. However, multiple OEMs have been confirmed to have adopted the 24-core processor, including Acer and Asus.
Now, it seems that a slew of less powerful Core Ultra 7 251HX-powered gaming laptops are on the horizon. For reference, Lenovo is already selling a Legion 5i variant featuring the Core Ultra 251HX on Amazon. Retailer Fnac has also revealed that a new version of the Raider 16 HX B2WH is coming with the same processor.
Moreover, this laptop appears to feature Nvidia's new GeForce RTX 5070 12 GB GPU. Incidentally, some listings still refer to this GPU as the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti. At the same time, Huang514613 has identified that Lenovo plans to release at least four other gaming laptops with this new discrete GPU..
As the images below show, these are refreshes of the Legion Pro 5 16ADR10, Legion Pro 5 16IRX10, LOQ 15IRX10 and LOQ 17IRX10 rather than new generations. For reference, all but the Legion Pro 5 16ADR10 features Intel Arrow Lake HX processors, with the 16ADR10 leveraging AMD's Dragon Range platform instead. Reportedly, Nvidia has bound manufacturers to an embargo that ends 'around [the] end of April'. This tallies with Amazon's suggestion that Lenovo will release its new Legion 5i on May 1.
