Peni Parker joins Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls

Arc System Works and PlayStation have revealed Peni Parker as a new playable character in Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls. The announcement was made on March 22, 2026, through PlayStation Blog following the Arc World Tour 2025–2026 Finals in Korea.

According to Arc System Works producer Takeshi Yamanaka, Peni Parker joins the newly introduced Amazing Guardians team alongside Spider-Man, Ms. Marvel, and Star-Lord. The studio says the group is made up of heroes from a new generation, and that their story will unfold in the game’s Episode Mode.

SP//dr gives Peni Parker a more technical style

Arc System Works describes Peni as a Japanese-American student and young scientist who pilots SP//dr, the mech suit created by her father. In Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, the studio says she fights with a range of gadgets and tools, giving her a more technical style than some of the game’s previously shown characters.

The same official post notes that Peni occasionally slips into Japanese in the game’s voice work, with Arc System Works saying that detail has been carried across different language versions.

New team-name feature and EVO Japan demo confirmed

The March 22 update also introduces Automatic Team Name Generation. Arc System Works says the game can automatically generate a team name based on the four characters selected, with those names drawing from Marvel lore and being announced in-game by a ring announcer.

Arc System Works also says the latest demo will appear at EVO Japan 2026 in Tokyo from May 1 to May 3. That build will include Peni Parker as a playable character and the Knowhere stage, bringing the demo total to 12 playable characters and 4 stages. PlayStation’s official game page says Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is scheduled to launch on August 6, 2026, for PS5 and PC, with 20 playable characters planned at launch.

In separate news, The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin has now reached its March 23 grand launch after opening Early Play on PS5 and Steam on March 16. Netmarble’s official site lists March 23 as the wider launch date, and its launch-event notice says players who log in after the grand launch can claim the full Day 1 to Day 8 check-in rewards at once.
