Asus ROG Strix Scar 17 G733PY

Thanks to the 128 W Ryzen 9 7945HX and the 175 W GeForce RTX 4090 (Laptop), this Asus ROG Strix series laptop rips virtually all of its competitors into pieces. At 2.94 kg, this is certainly not the most portable gaming laptop around; in exchange, its large 240 Hz 17.3-inch 1440p screen will make most kinds of work that bit easier to get done.
While our independent testing did uncover a few quirks, such as the noticeable throttling of the SK Hynix SSD, the Asus is still one of the best laptops money can buy, as of Q3 2023 - in no small part thanks to its Zen 4 CPU.

Lenovo Legion Pro 7 16 (2023)

This high-end Lenovo laptop makes use of the Core i9-13900HX with a long-term power limit of 130 W and the GeForce RTX 4090 (Laptop) that is allowed to consume up to 175 W of juice. The screen measures 16 inches across while delivering a very sharp 1600p resolution at 240 Hz. Naturally, it's a very fast screen with no PWM flickering. The product's weight is understandably on the higher side at 2.68 kg.
Like many recent Lenovo laptops, the Legion is notable for its cool, reserved looks. There are a few downsides for the user to be aware of that we explore in our review; the Legion Pro 7 16 can get a bit hot and it also exhibits significant SSD throttling. Still, the package is very impressive overall.

Medion Erazer Beast X40

This Medion gaming laptop is powered by the Intel Core i9-13900HX and the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 (Laptop). The CPU is allowed to consume up to 160 W under prolonged loads and the graphics card can boast of a similarly high power target (175 W). The product has a 17-inch, 1600p and 240 Hz display, and weighs 2.88 kg. Eluktronics has a nearly identical laptop on offer, the Mech-17 GP2, and so do a few other companies, such as Schenker.
The Erazer Beast is extremely fast and, if paired with the external liquid cooling station, it can be even faster. The enormous processing speed is not the only selling point here - those fortunate enough to have enough cash to purchase the laptop will also gain access to decent battery life and a pleasant-to-use mechanical keyboard, among other things.
