iQOO has confirmed that it will make its inaugural Android tablet part of its next major product event. The brand has revealed that the first-gen just happens to follow a trend recently set by Vivo and OnePlus in showing its looks off ahead of its formal debut. The slate will run on a powerful MediaTek Dimensity chipset and have dual rear cameras.

Vivo's main subsidiary iQOO started out making Android smartphones such as the Neo8 Pro, which will debut as its line's latest flagship soon. Now, however, the brand has also officially revealed that they will be unleashed alongside something else that is "bigger, stronger and more fun" for a change.

That product would be iQOO's long-anticipated Pad, which has waited until it could get at that new OnePlus Pad/Vivo Pad2 design on its launch. Accordingly, it looks slightly more square in its new teasers, although it will be the first of its emerging genre to launch in black.

iQOO has confirmed a boost to the Dimensity 9000+ SoC for its first tablet. The brand is holding any other potential selling points for the upcoming tablet in reserve, although its JD.com preview page spoils the fact it will have 8 to 12GB of RAM and internal storage that goes from 128GB all the way to 512GB.

It may also have a screen resolution of 2360 x 1640 and, almost inevitably, come with support for its own iQOO Pencil and keyboard cover. Its large rear corner-mounted camera hump will contain dual "ASPH" rear lenses and a flash. However, all other specs may have to wait until the iQOO Pad's official reveal alongside the Neo8 series and new accessories such as the new TWS Air Pro on May 23, 2023.
