iQOO has officially confirmed that it will launch the world's first Android smartphone with MediaTek's newest flagship processor later in May 2023. The Dimensity 9200 Plus (or 9200+) is slated to power the Pro version of the Neo8 series on that date. The device is also already slated to arrive with the latest take on iQOO's high-end design and a dedicated secondary chip for its rear cameras.

The MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ has been given the go-ahead for its first outing as part of the iQOO Neo8 Pro. The device may or may not have been spotted racing through benchmarks breaking things (like all-time records) prior to its official confirmation as a smartphone that might be able to go at up to 3.35GHz soon.

iQOO has also moved first with a design teaser for its new Neo-series flagship, revealing that the practically traditional rear camera window will have a new carbon-fiber accent throughout in the 8 Pro. It houses at least 2 cameras, slated for enhancement with the other half of its "dual-core" set-up.

It is a dedicated ISP/co-processor donated by iQOO's parent brand Vivo - although the 8 Pro gets the V1+ rather than the latest V2. Otherwise, the smartphone is now known to have a bright red color option and to have thin flattened edges.

The Neo8 Pro is now available to reserve through online channels such as JD.com or the Vivo store, ahead of its formal debut on May 23, 2023.
